What the heck is it?

Posting this for Bill R.  I told him I thought it was a groundhog with mange.  Possibly a domestic rabbit?  It appears to have no hair.  What are your thoughts.  I resized the second picture for a better look.  It's in a window well.

Looks like a groundhog, Yes.
But as James Audobon said, " If you really want to study a creature , in his case birds, you have to kill it and study it up close.
