Spring Gobbler season!!!
« on: April 29, 2009, 11:20:43 AM »
First time out this morning and it was over within 5 minutes from hitting the ground. I got so excited this morning when they started flying down. It's been a long time since I felt like this in spring. there was 14 hens,7 jakes and 2 longbeards strutting. I had to let them all pass me to get to the toms in the back.10.5" beard and 1" spurs. Great morning..

Thanks guys! It was just one of those mornings. I actually got butterflies in my stomach while they were still on the roost. Then after I took him I found a little shed antler that was tore up by rodents but neat either way. This was only the second shed I've ever found.
