Making calls is a fun thing to do in your spare time.
For a brief moment I could hear nature through all the noise.

Way back when on (huntingpa) I purchased a lathe, chisels,  measuring tools, chucks, face plates and all kind of exotic woods and jack rabbit and cottontail voice channels for what I thought was a good price... One of these days when I can't walk the mountains and only can walk down to my work bench I might have to try to turn a few..Um however but will I be able to even stand in one place when I get old????????

I think I better start first with some scrap wood.....

I purchased a slate Turkey Call (Wed Wood) from DEER TAG, last week.
Good craftmanship, great sounding.
To my surprise, he added 3 strikers and a Squirrel Call (for first time buyer).
Am very happy with these custom calls. Very good sounds.

Last weekend I shot 3 nuisance Squirrels in our backyard, while I worked that Squirrle Call.

Hern glad you liked the calls .
Been busy with work and all havnt had much time to turn calls but got my hands on some nice looking hickory had to give it a turn , normaly hickory pretty plain wood.

3 in slate over glass few strikers ,, elk call but makes good crow call , predator call
