The PPHA will be hosting a bobcat / coyote hunt. This hunt will run from opening day of bobcat season, Jan 13 2018 untill the last day of bobcat season Feb 7 2018. The rules will be as follows.

2. All pa game laws must be followed
3. All animals must be taken in PA
4. A three digit number must be given at the time a member signs up. The three digit number will decide any tie based upon the daily number on February 8, 2018
5. A bobcat will trump coyotes if one bobcat is taken and another member harvest 4 coyotes the bobcat wins the hunt if more than one person enters a bobcat as stated above a tiebreaker will determine by the PA daily lottery number
6. A sign logo will be announced prior to the beginning of the hunt that will have to be in each picture posted. That sign will also include the date and time of kill. The animal, shooter & sign must be in the picture. You have 24 hours to post your kill.
7. A brief story of the hunt must include how long on stand, sounds used and distance call into, gun used etc.
First prize is as followed. You must kill a bobcat to win 1st place prize. The Hunter that kills a bobcat and most coyotes is the first place winner.
First place winner will receive one of our PPHA belt buckles. A PPHA T-shirt and a PPHA window decal
Exception to a belt buckle prize if you happen to win the GRAND SLAM HUNT and the BOBCAT HUNT your prize will be a night eyes headlamp. Since we’re already giving away a belt buckle for the GRAND SLAM HUNT.
Second place prize is as followed. If a hunter is unsuccessful of harvesting a bobcat they can still win 2ed .Unless there is two bobcats harvest the person killing the most coyotes is your second place winner. Remember in this hunt bobcats trump coyotes. Prizes for second place is a bees O’Brien hand call, PPHA T-shirt and a PPHA window decal.
Any questions about this hunt can PM me. Thanks
Good luck to all hunters !!!!!!

Again, it’s not my intention to offend anyone. Congratulations on the kill!

All officers will be made aware of the concerns brought up here and we will review the facts and make an informed determination on whether the rules of the hunt were violated or not. Please allow us the appropriate time to reach a conclusion. Thank you.

Im staying neutral on the whole debate.... but if you wanna get technical the kill time is "7:45pm" on Saturday and wasn't posted until 7:46pm on Sunday so "technically" its 1 minute past 24 hours anyways.... just saying

Thank you for the input 12ga. The officers have several factors to consider regarding this matter. I am not at liberty to discuss this here as it is an officers matter and we will be discussing all of the issues shorty. In the meantime, we encourage all members to continue to hunt for the grand slam hunt as we have no clear winner to that hunt yet. The bobcat hunt runs until the end of bobcat season and that is when a winner will be determined for that hunt. Thank you to all the members for their patience on this as we sort through all the info at hand.
