May issue of Pa. Game News, pg. 32, tells how two Turkey hunters had Gobblers sounding off.
A hen turkey was working its way toward the blind. A deer came in from the opposite directions.
A Bobcat came in belly crawling from the same direction as the hen.
Unfortunately they missed the Bobcat hitting the deer. But captured the deer on the ground with the Bobcat's death grip on throat. 20 yards in front of the blind.

I would have never thought a bobcat would actually take down a grown deer. I could see a fawn or one that's already down, but not like I just saw!!

back when I was mid-teens I saw a take down played out in the snow... cat started 2 deer, jumped one and they split up... deer threw the cat off, saw both tracks for a while then the cats tracks disappeared, and the deer's tracks got deeper... after a bit we found the carcass, well eaten, surrounded by many cat tracks...
