Set a few traps yesterday, I just want a couple this year since the market is down

Critter carrier, and how it makes a hard to carry beaver like a suit case

Verminator,
It looks like I'll be bringing some beaver meat to you saturday

HEY THATS A PRETTY NICE BEAVER.  DID YOU WEIGH HIM?  WHAT DID YOU CATCH HIM IN?  THE BIGGEST ONE I CAUGHT LAST YEAR WAS 42 POUNDS.  GOT HIM WITH A #4 AND A CASTOR MOUND.  WAY TO GO.

Snared this one,
baited the set with semi-peeled sticks,
and moved HIS castor mound 5 ft over and scented it with my castor.
He may go 40lbs
My biggest is 72lbs
missed the other one in a #3 victor 30 yds away.
I think they are 2 yr olds kicked out and looking for their own home

Great job. Don't you wish it was like this every time you where beaver trapping ?
I caught my first ever beaver in Jan. Wish I knew where there was some more . The ones I did know where they where moved out . They where river beaver but they will be back again I hope.

River beaver travel alot Jeff,
But if there is food there, they will come back.
Now is a good time, the 2 year olds are on the move.
Great for slides baited with half peeled food sticks, and castor mounds.
The adults are defending their territory from the 2yr olds now.

Go get em

Nice job LL

I only set 1 beaver trap this year and caught 1 beaver.  Just to take the edge off.

BTW, I used my one of your critter carriers to haul it out too  8)

Congratulations.  I gotta trap one of them some day.
"Predators are either active & feeding, semi-active & callable, or utterly inactive & then practically speaking, no call is needed; we're just taking our guns for a walk. We can & should get used to it, & follow their leed cuz they just ain't eager nor apt to follow our’s any time soon!

Hey Bob, looks like you've been a little hard on the Beaver. LOL. All kidding aside, very nice job. Looks like fun. You've got it made Buddy, Keep on living good. One of these days we'll get together and do some hunting.
