Any of you mushroom lovers been out in the woods collecting tasty mushrooms after all that rain? I got a bunch of puff balls, chicken of the woods, hen of the woods, cauliflower mushrooms, corrals, etc....Those cauliflower mushrooms are soooo good. Almost the same as morels. The "hen of the woods" is delicious and I like them a little better than "chicken of the woods". I like to slice the puff balls in slices, roll them in flour, add a little seasoning, and then deep fry them. Going to have to hunt hard this fall to work off the extra weight. LOL

Ive eaten those before, but they taste like dirt to me :-\

Leglifter what kind of dirt. Clay, Top soil or rocky soil. LOL

I haven't eaten any of those because the ones I found had so much dirt in them. That pic looks great! I think I would try em and find out how good they are. They just might be a lil better dirt. LOL

I have to learn my mushrooms.....I took a bunch of pics from camp this weekend of mushrooms.
Those Coral mushrooms were EVERYWHERE.
A lot of what I thought were puffballs as well.
and then a bunch of those that I really had no clue what they were.
