GAME COMMISSION DRAWS BOBCAT PERMITS FOR UPCOMING SEASON
The Pennsylvania Game Commission publicly drew by computer the names of 1,435 individuals who each will be awarded one bobcat permit for the upcoming 2008-09 hunting and trapping season. The drawing was held at the agencys Harrisburg headquarters at 10 a.m. today, Friday, Sept. 12.
THREE MORE WMUS SELL OUT OF ANTLERLESS DEER LICENSES
Wildlife Management Units (WMUs) 1A, 4E and 5B exhausted their entire antlerless deer license allocation this week, announced Pennsylvania Game Commission Executive Director Carl G. Roe.
WMU 1A covers portions all of Lawrence and Mercer counties, and portions of Beaver, Butler, Crawford and Venango counties. WMU 4E contains all of Montour and Northumberland counties, and portions of Columbia, Dauphin, Luzerne, Lycoming, Schuylkill, Snyder and Union counties. WMU 5B contains portions of Adams, Berks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York counties.
