NY vs. " Your State" Predator Contest
« on: July 15, 2012, 10:47:27 PM »
Gang,

The Bark at the Moon Coyote Club is pleased to announce its latest predator hunting challenge… NY vs. “Your State.”
Each weekend in January and February 2013, the Bark at the Moon Coyote Club members will challenge hunters from a particular state in a friendly, on-line contest for calling predators. Once a weekend has been established for your state, a roster will be developed and the hunters will post pictures of their success using a contest specific pose (note: The pose will be announced on Friday afternoon of each weekend).
More details…

-   Contest is for calling, not dog running.
-   Contest is for coyotes, fox, bobcats, mt. lions, raccoons.
-   One point will be awarded for each predator.
-   Pictures must be posted on the designated contest thread on the Bark at the Moon Coyote Club message board.
-   Each states “weekend” will be announced on the BATMCC board and calendar.
-   First come, first served for selecting weekends. Someone will have to “step up” and secure a weekend for your state.
-   Roster will be finalized on Friday and only hunters who are on rosters will count for predator totals.
- Roster open to any number of hunters
-   Contest will be promoted on Predator Masters Forum, various other boards and Facebook.
-   This contest is for fun only! Bragging rights and an excuse to hunt is the reward!

We probably won't get an answer until the new officer terms takes over in September. Then they will have to vote on a date ect.

You don't need officers to organize this for you.  Have at it.  Whatever date works out for those who are participating.  Have fun and good luck.
"Predators are either active & feeding, semi-active & callable, or utterly inactive & then practically speaking, no call is needed; we're just taking our guns for a walk. We can & should get used to it, & follow their leed cuz they just ain't eager nor apt to follow our’s any time soon!

Any idea when the PPHA state hunt is gonna be this year? I vote for Jan 5th and 6th. Should we have a poll. Tim, I wasn't rying to step on any toes about the officers deciding. I meant that you guys decide what hunts the PPHA has and when. I didn't want this to conflict with what you guys might have going on. the sooner the better as far as I'm concerned.

No problem.  I didn't think you were stepping on toes, just thought you wanted us to set a date.  You are correct about the officers setting dates for events but as you said that won't happen until the new term starts in September.  Not sure when the State hunt will be yet.
