just recieved a call from Ernie, the amendment for HB881 was added in the Senate this morning! it comes out of committee next week and will be voted on then it's off to the House for a confirmation vote then onto the Govenors desk for a signature. If all goes well....this should become law shortly.

Yet another notch in our sheath for the PPHA!!!!!

way to go everybody to took the time to contact the Senators about this amendment....

There were two Senators in particular that teamed up for the PPHA and wrote the amendment within the guidlines that the PGC asked for...and with the wording that we asked for. Ernie will update us on exactly which two Senators they were when he gets a confirmation letter from Rep. McIlhinney .

The Bill passed out of the Senate Game & Fisheries Committee yesterday with no "no" votes.

Three more steps:

1. Full Senate vote.
(It is on the Senate Calendar today June 20, 2007 for 2nd consideration.)

2. Back to the House floor for a full House vote.

3. Governor signature.

but i'll take a stab at it...lol. yes the amendment was added for the use of a gun mounted light for the use of hunting all furbearers at night.
is that what you were asking?

I was looking at a bill, the wrong one and I could not find anything about lights on it. I found the correct bill. operator error.
