12 Gauge 3 1/2 Winchester # 4 buckshot
« on: September 12, 2010, 02:26:59 PM »
I visited Basspro on Friday...They had Winchester brand 3 1/2 inch 12 gauge # 4 buckshot....57 # 4 buckshot pellets in a 3 1/2.  Now if my memory serves me correctly....the 12 gauge 2 3/4 shell as 27 # 4 buckshot.. However 5 of the 3 1/2 shells cost $9.99. However you buy 10 shells in the Hevishot T shot it really going to cost you in the $40.00 range for sure... I think the  2 3/4 Hevishot for 10 each Hevishot T shot was about $32.00.

However I have seen coyotes killed with the 2 3/4 12 gauge  # 4 buckshot 27 pellets already...It anchors them real nice...

I can tell you the only time that I use the premium type ammo for coyotes...That is during the Mosquito Creek Hunt...  Not that I don't use good ammo all during the year... I  like to use Hevishot  # 4 shot most times,  or Turkey loads,  or Tungsten  # 1 shot... However I get all of this stuff on clearance... Also I reload my own buffered BB and # 4 buckshot too.....

Neat thing about the 12 gauge 3 1/2 # 4 buckshot is that you have to roll your own 10 Gauge # 4 buckshot.  So the 3 1/2 # 4 buckshot is available now... I keep asking Hevishot when are you going to release the Hevishot  # 4 Buckshot to the general public?...They just never respond to my request... be it on their web site or even on Facebook.. :'(

Unalce Buck et al,  East Coast gun Sales has 3 1/2" WW 4 Buck for less than Bass Pro and Lion Country Supply has it for .39 cents more.  Shyda's doesn't have it and doesn't plan to order any.  I think that when I called the guy was fighting w/ his wife or girlfriend or both.

more then likely it is just regular lead shot.

You will like the Wingmaster HD.. Even the small shot like 6 shot hits hard and you can kill things at longer distances...
