34 lb male. This one wasn't very happy about the whole situation, and was telling me about it.

38lb give or take a lb or so of mud. Her teeth were all worn down. Figure she might have been the one populating the area.

And finally a fox the coyotes didn't get.

the way they're going, you may want to reconsider a trip into that area... seems they're thinning them out pretty well... 8)

Not to pry but where are you trapping in 2f? Was looking to trap around mainly Marienville, Muzzette or along route 666. Do not want to step on any locals toes or sets.
-
No problem, you'll be about 20 or so miles north of me. That's a good choice. Better population there than what I have. Don't overlook Loleta. I was coyote hunting up there a couple weeks ago and saw a lot of sign.
Can't wait to see your pics :D

Loleta, are camp is by a loleta campground back towards buzzard swamp. I am going up for the weekend and my traps will have a 2 night soak, set fri am pull sun am. hopefully will be able to get out and hunt. saw a black yote there 2 years ago and all I had was a fishing rod in the truck. Put a couple sets out thur in 2b, 2 possum and a decent coon, fur looked like it was almost ready, did not skin it yet. I left the camera in the car.

That's the Loleta I'm talkin about. Good luck.
I set up 3 new properties on Friday. 8) Here's 2 more. 28lb female and a 30lb male
That handsome little fella is my 8 year old son and weekend trappin partner. We set some coon traps for him yesterday. No luck yet, they must be smarter than coyotes

Pulled all my traps the Thursday before Thanksgiving until all that deer huntin stuff was over. Finally got some back in the ground last week. Had this one this morning. 30 lb female. Caught a red fox in this set on Thursday. :)

Wow, those are some nice yotes. I am going to keep on trying for one. The whole rifle season all I could think about was getting my sets reopened and making new ones. You are going to have to tell me what to look for and what you are doing, John.
