A big thank you to everyone. BUT........as of 8:15 last night, the surgery was canceled by the astegeolists (the person who knocks her out for the surgery, sorry). Still waiting for a call back from the drs. to find out how to proceed. I'll keep younz in the loop.
-
Thanx George...we will still send prayers for both of you ;) ;) ;)

Update, the new date is feb 2nd. The new meds are to be in today. I believe that the prayers are working. If the paper work error had not been caught at the last moment, well, it was and now we are on the right track. Thanks to everybody.
-
;) ;) ;) God answers prayers!! ;) ;) ;) ;)
-
Amazing how God works in mysterious ways. Sometimes things look bad, but He always has a reason! Keep the faith and we'll keep praying !!!
-
They canceled it again. There's a mass on the adrenal gland that has to be removed first. And after 5-6 hours on the phone today and doctors appointments a plenty in the next two days, I may know more wed night. A positive attitude is becoming a challenge for us both and my fingers are bleeding from holding my tongue.
-
Hang in there George....we all support you and yours and you will get through this!! Stay positive and the rest of us will pray.
-
We are still praying and pulling for both of you.
Good luck and God bless.
-
You have our prayers and best wishes.
-
Don't loose your faith now. Stay strong
-
Hey George....could we have an update?
-
I'll tell younz what I know as of today. I was wait'n for a phone call for the latest info but didn't get it. Sooooo, the mass removal surgery is on the 29th. Trying to get it moved up. Seems like every time I say something it changes. The heart crew doesn't want to do it before the mass is removed. The mass crew doesn't want to do it before the heart is fixed. It's a very risky thing either way it goes. Just try'n to keep her spirits up till some thing gets done.
-
;) Thanx George, prayers continue and you keep positive and take care of your Queen...she is what has kicked you in the tail a couple of times when you got off track now it's your turn to keep her on track.....so stay positive, keep her happy, and we will keep praying for both of you!
-
As of 5:20 today, the "mass" surgery is for 6:45 in the morning. I hope that there's no delays for this. I was told that the heart surgery could be done in 10-14 days later if all goes well. Fingers and toes crossed...............here we go.
-
George I will place you and Patty on the prayer list at church...Hope all works out for you and her.. Hang in there "TRUST IN THE LORD!"
-
You have my prayers and best wishes.
-
George I will continue my prayers for both of you..
-
Prayers for you and Patty buddy
-
The operation went well, the mass is gone. They gave her a self injection button for pain. the nurse asked how she was doing. She looked at her and said," I haven't slept worth a hoot for two weeks" and hit the button and went back to sleep.
That was step #1 and hope'n for step#2 asap. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.
-
good to hear things went well... hope the next goes as good...
-
:) Wishing her a speedy recovery! :)............... 8)

;) ;) ;) That's real good news George, prayers will continue.... :) :) :) :)
-
Glad to hear it George! Hope everything else goes as well
-
A marked improvement over yesterday. Having to start from scratch with the meds cause so much has changed. Her diabetes is gone !! Hard to believe, but it's true.
-
That is great news! Glad everything is looking good and hopefully she heals quickly.
-
"Her diabetes is gone !!" WOW!! George that is great news, I hope they have found a cure for the rest also!!
-
She's come'n home tomorrow. Might be about 30 days before the heart surgery, but I haven't talked to the heart team yet. Ought to know more in the next few days.
-
;) ;) ;) ;) That's great Georgie...the Queen will take charge again so you better be on your toes!! ;D ;D ;D ;D take good care of her... ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
-
Great news. Take good care of her.
-
Sorry for the delay but have been hesitant to say anything. Seems like when I do, things go the other way. For example, the diabetes is back. On about the same meds as before. Learn'n more about health care than I really want to know.
Went to see the heart team yesterday and........it's the 25th, GOOD FRIDAY. I'm hope'n and pray'n that there is no delays or cancelations this time. I'll just leave it at that for now.
-
;) ;) Georgie we will be prayin for you both ;) ;) ;) ;)

How are you doing in your recovery?
-
:) Well as good as I could hope for. :) I have to overcome the surgery and the rust that has gathered since last May :P ....I hope Georges wife does even better. We have a friend who had a valve replacement Monday AM at John Hopkins and was shopping today with her sister. I think we can all be happy it isn't 60 years ago. Technology,Doctors, and medicine, terrific stuff... 8)

Didn't get home till 10:30 last night. Was touch and go because of blood leakage. Thought that they were gonna have to take her back to the OR but seems not to be the case as of this minute. Things can and will change. Her heart function is at 20% and that is also a factor. Things are progressing at a much slower pace than was projected by the docs. She's not out of the woods yet. Get'n ready to go to the hospital again.
-
;) ;) ;) Georgie prayers will continue!!
-
Breathing tube is out, pace maker is off, blood leakage is minimal. Was out of bed last night sit'n in the recliner watch'n tv with the remote in her hand. Today had spaghetti for dinner. A very happy Easter indeed.
-
Great, a nice Easter present
-
;) ;) ;) Thank goodness she didn't play a Bunny!! ??? ??? ??? Glad for the great Easter news ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Prayers for all.
-
:) Great News :) 8)
-
That's awesome news. The power of prayers!! Keep us posted.
-
George, good to hear she's getting along... recovery is all a personal thing, not everyone does it on schedule... so long as she keeps getting better no matter how slowly it happens, it's a good thing... we're all here for her and you... 8)
-
With Gods grace may her recovery be short are sweet. God bless you, both are in our prayers.
AHMEN !!!!
-
:) Everything still on track? :) ......... 8)
-
Well.............um..........kinda sorta a new track. Monday had a regression. To put it in nonmedial terms, had to start over with the recovery protocol. Kidneys stopped working, heart function tanked because of fluid retention, and oxygen levels were low. They put the breathing tube back in and started dialyses to try to kick start her kidneys. Also had to restrain her cause she was out of it and tried to rip the tubes out.
As of tonight, they are trying to ramp up the dialyses machine to take more fluid out. Have to go very slowly, baby steps, otherwise her blood pressure tanks.
I was there when this happened on sunday night and Monday morning. That was hard to take. Docs said that this was normal and see this a lot. I thought that MY heart was gonna blow out of my chest cause of the stress.
I have come to the conclusion that this is gonna take WAY more time than they told me it would take. I'll try to keep posting from time to time. Keep'n the faith.
-
I hear you buddy.
-
Going very slowly and nothing much to report. Take'n it day by day.
-
Prayers sent George,
Youns from the burgh are tough

-
Small bits of progress and that's a plus. Will give a better update in a few days. Docs say I/they should see some significant improvement by Friday. Pacemaker w/de-fib goes in tomorrow.
-
;) ;) ;) Stay positive George and our prayers will continue ;) ;) ;)
-
She's home !!!! ;D ;D It's been since march 25th till today. :o :o What an ordeal. ::) ::)
-
:) Great news and that's a good step just being home :) Now if her "Home" nurse is up to the task she will be out and about in no time. ;D Prayers are with you both..... 8)

;) ;) ;) That is great news Georgie....now don't make her mow the grass or clean, ride on the quad or anything other than be your Queen!! :D :D :D :D :D
