Yep we all use the 17 FB, 17 Rem, and 22 Hornets and other 22 center fires..Just think if you do call in a bobcat and take a shot with any center fire rifle.... We can only get one bobcat a year... Don't shoot it in the forehead or you probably going to wreck up your trophy cat.. I suppose if you drive a bullet right smack in the middle of the head and it goes down into the center of the neck you will be OK. However that forehead shot going to take the entire top of the bobcat head off.. Just kind of posting something to make you think before your out there and you got that bobcat in your sight..
By the way in real thick cover..The shotgun does a nice job on all predators.
