Funny, I was just there a minute ago thinking the same thing. I thought 2F and 2G went on the first day or two. I also thought 4D where I get my first went faster as well.

Is the economy some of the problem?
Maybe people are not going to spend the gas money, time off work and butcher fees any longer for a doe.

2G always sells out fast. It would be interesting to see if the regular hunting license is also down in the same areas.
-
2G sold out so fast last year because they only had about 19,000 tags this year it's 26,000. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I hunt in 2G but have not applied for a doe tag for several years now. I have not been watching the numbers that close but I can tell you that the hunting in a majority of 2G is terrible, especially for doe. I'm not supprised at the numbers. I'm hearing a lot of grumbling.
The amount of general hunting license sold was down last year. I think that PA is in a downward trend and will stay down for a while. In my opinion, thats why so many are turning to predator hunting, more oppotunity and time to hunt.
