I've always pinned open Coon, Fox & Coyote tails with push pins.
This year I learn another way to pin tails with quilting pins.
Faster pinning and keeps tail opened without hair hanging over skin.
Quilting pins with round colored head or 'T' head...
Here's a Red Fox tail pinned with 'T' head quilting pins...

Singer Brand. Size 28. 1 3/4" long, round head...

Yea, am not too swift.
Check predator page on huntingpa. I have pic of Singer pins from Walmart.
I started a fur handling thread on huntingpa, on predator page.
