-
Who knows maybe a good looking Murmaid. LOL
-
bluegill,the flattys love um.
just set up a good circle hook, rig.ball bearing swivels, etc.
-
If fishing around a lighted dock, I use lures. White grubs/black jig head, Rapala minnow,or rooster tail.
Night crawlers, you can't go wrong.
Chicken liver or small fish (with stomach cut) for catfish.
-
7-8" long rock bass
Not legal but a good suggestion - sunnies work well also.
-
BAITFISH includes all forms of minnows; suckers, chubs, fallfish, lampreys, eels between 6 and 8 inches in length; gizzard shad 8 inches or less; and all forms of darters, killifishes and stonecats (except those listed as threatened or endangered species). Legally taken gamefish may be used as bait. It is unlawful to use or possess goldfish, comets, koi, and common carp as baitfish while fishing.
Maybe I have it wrong - but the above doesn't pertain to Rock Bass - don't they have a minimum size limit of 15" in most places?
-
no size restriction on rock bass.
they're lumped in with the perch, crappie, and bluegills
-
I don't know about Rock bass but in a few places I know of there is a size limit on Crappie ,Perch and Sunfish . EX. Sayers Dam in Centre County Crappie has to be 9" and Sunfish has to be 7" and High Point Lake In Somerset County yellow perch has to be 9" . Lake Erie has a size limit on perch also but I think it may be for just part of the year.
The fish commission can make special regulations for a certain lake or river .
On page 27 in the book you get with your fishing license it has some of the special regulation areas on Panfish.
