Hawk and its lunch
« on: February 18, 2008, 02:15:48 PM »
Hey guys,

A few days ago I was leaving to run some errands and noticed a red tail hawk sitting on top of a telephone pole as I left my neighbor hood, I thought it was pretty cool.  Well as I returned I noticed the hawk now on the other side of the road in a big ol tree.  I could see he was eating something so I pulled over and got my camera.  It ended up being a squirrel that he caught.  He must have been hanging out on that telephone pole waiting for lunch.  He never even cared that I was right beside the tree, it was pretty cool to watch in person you could hear him ripping at the flesh and could hear the bones cracking. Anyway here are some pics ...
