Title: A question for you Electrical Geniuses?
Post by: uncle buck on May 15, 2011, 02:28:47 PM
Oh way back in 1974 I worked for the Defense Depot.  We use to keep all of our batteries in the frig to prolong shelf life..Now does this type of action...putting batteries in a frig to prolong the shelf life on them to this day still apply or doesn't it matter?  I am just curious if....keeping batteries in the frig will make them last longer.

It is a myth UB.  Just keep them in a cool dry place.  There is no data that backs up keeping cell batteries in the frig does anything.
