Didn't get home till 10:30 last night. Was touch and go because of blood leakage. Thought that they were gonna have to take her back to the OR but seems not to be the case as of this minute. Things can and will change. Her heart function is at 20% and that is also a factor. Things are progressing at a much slower pace than was projected by the docs. She's not out of the woods yet. Get'n ready to go to the hospital again.

Breathing tube is out, pace maker is off, blood leakage is minimal. Was out of bed last night sit'n in the recliner watch'n tv with the remote in her hand. Today had spaghetti for dinner. A very happy Easter indeed.

George, good to hear she's getting along... recovery is all a personal thing, not everyone does it on schedule... so long as she keeps getting better no matter how slowly it happens, it's a good thing... we're all here for her and you...   8)

Well.............um..........kinda sorta a new track. Monday had a regression. To put it in nonmedial terms, had to start over with the recovery protocol. Kidneys stopped working, heart function tanked because of fluid retention, and oxygen levels were low. They put the breathing tube back in and started dialyses to try to kick start her kidneys. Also had to restrain her cause she was out of it and tried to rip the tubes out.

As of tonight, they are trying to ramp up the dialyses machine to take more fluid out. Have to go very slowly, baby steps, otherwise her blood pressure tanks.

I was there when this happened on sunday night and Monday morning. That was hard to take. Docs said that this was normal and see this a lot. I thought that MY heart was gonna blow out of my chest cause of the stress.

I have come to the conclusion that this is gonna take WAY more time than they told me it would take. I'll try to keep posting from time to time. Keep'n the faith.
