unique fox colors?
« on: January 22, 2010, 08:54:52 PM »
I went out for 2 hours this evening and unfortunately chose the wrong side of the valley to ravine to hunt. I tried something different than I usually do. From my angle I seen a fox (although I was unaware at the time) on the other side sitting on the logging road. I didn't have my binoculars (son hid them). I couldn't tell what it was for sure because it was dark colored. I lip squeaked (nothing) I did some light cottontail with my JS pc3 (nothing). Finally some deer above it spooked and it stated to move. At that time I seen it was indeed a fox. The size of a red but almost looked black or root beer. It had a white tip on the tail and a white spot on it's rump. I know where it is hanging out and hopefully I can slip in there this weekend and just wait him out. Hopefully I have some pics before seasons end.
