Has anyone used one of these on fox and if so what is your opinion? I just got a .223, but the .204 still has my eye.

IMO....the 204 Ruger is for coyotes and chucks..It to powerful using factory ammo for fox. If you have a 223 you might want to get yourself a 17 Rem or a 17 Fireball.. All the people I know that get a 17 CF...Say they would never get rid of it or say why didn't I do this sooner?
I like the 17 CF so much that I have three of them...I also have a 204 Ruger Encore Barrel and when I use that it's strictly for chucks and on coyote hunts...I suppose you could download the 204 ruger and make them furfriendly... Um but why not just get the 17 CF?

I keep looking at .17 FB's, but everytime I go to get one something else catches my eye. I actually don't reload yet, but that is on my list. Maybe I'll try to move some of the items I have and get some funds ready. Thx UB.

204 is a great caliber but UB hit the nail on the head unless you don't want to sell the fur. ;D

+1 to UB. 204 is harsh on fox.

Sorry that it took so long for a reply but I just opened this one up. My Savage 25 destroys Fox w/ both the 32 and the 40 Hornady FL. It is a shame because they were beautiful. Ther will be a 17 in my life, very soon. I will be asking some Questions.
