Hi y'all,
Had a good buddy fall out of his Archery stand today. He wore an old belt style safety harness that saved his life, but nearly killed him. Cracked ribs, internal bruising and some stitches. If you bow hunt or get into tree stands for some elevated calling be careful out there and make sure you buy a full body style harness. My buddy would have died from the belt harness if a neighbor hadn't heard his faint screams.

Welcome Smokey, glad your friend is o.k.!!
Do you do any fox, or yote hunting?
-
Yep...I hunt both, have yet to kill a coyote though. Hopping to get out more after archery seaon is over.

In addition to the safety harness. Inspect your stands for rusty bolts frayed straps and replace as necessary. A friend of a friend is now paralized after a bolt snapped as he was getting into the stand. He fell 15ft.

Belt saved me this year when a mouse came out of my seat and I stood up to get away and lost my balance. Gotta have them. Hope your buddy recovers quickly.

You hunt fox and coyotes and you're scared of a little mouse.
