This was the satellight male. I only seen one of the mating pair and went to look at the tracks when this one popped out of the brush and I was lucky to squeak him to a stop. I shot him with my 223. This was also the first fox I shot with this gun.

Nice looking fox. Glad to see you guys out that way knocking them all off.

As for fur damage with a 223 Last yr. I did a gray fox up that Buckwheat shot that had very little damage . Just a hole about the size of a pencil. He said what shell he used but if he sees this he will have to say I can't remember what it was.
