Title: When Fox Season over and coyote is your only target
Post by: uncle buck on February 26, 2011, 03:58:34 PM
I praise the merit of the 17 CF's..The 17 Rem and the 17 Fireball awesome calibers if you hit a fox in the chest and or shoulder... They will kill coyotes too with a 25 grain bullet out to about 250 yards.. 250 yards... 2 and one half football fields.. That a long distance..Also if you reload you can use a 30 grain bullet too but the killing distance is still about 250 yards..   But...ah fox season is over... Nice to add another 50 yards to your shooting area... if you have a 22250 or a 204 Ruger and fox season is over it's nice to be able to pop a coyote at 3 football fields away... and more!!!!!!

There is A time and place for everything... No way would I take a 22250 or a 204 Ruger for fox during the season but when the season is over and it's time only for coyotes...Take your longer shooters for a walk.. Also  this could be a time to take the 243 Win or the 2506 for a walk too.. BUT........Please make sure your using Varmint Bullet HP in these larger calibers...

Tonight....Mosquito Creek Hunt take two...The Encore 22250 with a 50 Grain Silver Tip bullet Combined Technologgies reload  is going on this hunt....
